Fashion shops hit by hack
International fashion business Forever 21 is the latest retailer to suffer a databreach. The Los Angeles-headquartered clothing chain, which has over 800 stores all round the world, announced that hackers may have infiltrated the point-of-sale systems in some of its outlets, potentially stealing customers’ payment card details.
So far, details on how the breach was perpetrated and the stores that may be affected are not yet available, but the company has called in security experts to help with its investigations.
Forever 21 installed security solutions in 2015 which have helped to limit the extent of the attack, but the retailer has advised its clientele to check their debit and credit cards for any signs of nefarious activity.
